While creativity and art has been part of my life since I was a little girl, it was truly in college at Fairleigh Dickinson University where my passion for design came to life. I quickly immersed myself in anything and everything design, and ultimately landed a job in Boston after graduation. After making the move from NJ to MA and working as a project manager, I yearned for an outlet for my pent up creativity. I was approached to design a few logos for some friends, and posted them to social media, not expecting much of a response. Fast forward a few weeks and one “those logos are awesome, will you design my wedding invites for me?” texts later, Kristen Sardini Design was born in fall 2020. From that moment, things took off in a way I never could've imagined.
For the next two years, I spent my time creating for over 100 couples and their weddings. In 2022, life threw me the biggest curveball when my daughter was born 15 weeks early, and I had to navigate running a growing business while also being in the NICU for an extended stay. But through the unwavering support of my clients, I continued forging ahead, pushing the boundaries of my communication, prepress and design skills. While that was a very difficult time for me, it truly transformed my mindset and helped me become the business owner I am today. It inspired me to forge a path forward and show my daughter that we can create any future we believe in, regardless of how our story started. My daughter, my muse and my biggest inspiration, is the reason that in 2022, KSD became an LLC and took over as my full time occupation.
The creative process with me is truly one of a kind. You will be involved from start to finish, allowing you total control of the process while I guide you to the best design solution. We start the process with our kick off meeting. This meeting is to get the initial information from you and to get an overall sense of what vibe you're looking for. We will look at inspiration pictures, go over different paper options, envelope colors, you name it! From there, we get sketching, and sketching, and sketching, until your design is absolutely perfect. The we finalize, and the files are yours, or we hit production!
